Budget Hotels

These days, everyone is trying to save a buck. Below are the hotels in Las Vegas that provide budget hotel rooms.  There are no frills here, but they are close to all the action.

Motel 6
Exactly what one would expect from a budget hotel in Las Vegas.  Located conveniently near MGM Grand, NY-NY, Excalibur, & The Tropicana Las Vegas, so as to provide the budget hotel traveler with easy walking access to the glitz, glam, and action of the big Las Vegas Strip resorts.  All the basics are provided at reasonable rates anywhere from $39 depending on how busy Las Vegas proves to be on any given night.

San Remo Las Vegas
Just a half block off the Las Vegas Strip, this full-service hotel and casino provides just about all the basic amenities as a big strip hotel, but with budget prices.  San Remo Las Vegas is an older hotel and the casino isn’t the most exciting place unless it is a busy Vegas weekend catching overflow from the big strip hotels.  Locals and tourists alike rave about the sushi bar offering reasonable prices and excellent sushi.

Super 8
Located on the Boulder “Strip”, so it is off the beaten path of the Las Vegas Strip by about 20 minutes. This budget hotel is close however to the popular Sam’s Town Hotel & Casino, which provides excellent hotel accommodations and even better basic dining options.  The Super 8 also has some of the best Vegas Prime Rib & Baby Back Rib deals  in town.

Stratosphere Hotel & Casino
This Seattle Space Needle replica property offers decent budget accommodations and excellent bar service.  The Top of the World restaurant is located at the top of the tower along with some thrill rides that are sure to keep one’s heart racing if the Craps table can’t.

Terrible’s Hotel & Casino Las Vegas
This Las Vegas off Strip hotel used to be the infamous Hotel Continental with the 99 cent all you can eat pancakes.  Today, it has been completely renovated and given a nice facelift. The property offers budget hotel rooms and a full service casino. Dining options are limited but economical, and this is still one of those places that offers the throwback Las Vegas Prime rib special.
